Life of a college student...

I used iWed to create a website for my dig comm course. The program was a lot more user-friendly than Dreamweaver, but the latter is definitely the better program if you know your way around HTML. Check out what I managed to do:

This week I also did a presentation on the Sazerac Bar's Stormin the Sazerac party from September. The Sazerac Bar moved into the Roosevelt Sept 25, 1949 and the day after is when that famous photo, Storming the Sazerac was taken -- Sept 26, 1949 was the first day women were allowed into the Sazerac Bar. So, we celebrated 60 years of women drinking with the release of the Miss Sazerac. Fabulous version of the Sazerac made with an 18 yr-old bourbon.

Here's an image I made for my project board. The Sazerac Glass is an old picture that's posted on the Roosevelt's website. I just borrowed it for academic purposes of course!

This week

Well I'm applying for another internship with Tales of the Cocktail for the spring semester to continue through summer. Crossing my fingers! So save the date, July 21-25 this summer. I hope atleast some of yall can make it out.

December 10 is Tales of the Toddy and that's worth making a trip down here too. I'll be helping out with it. Local bartenders will be making and giving tips on the perfect holiday drinks. Guess I'll be making the eggnog again this year at Christmas!

Hey ya'll!

Well I decided to start a blog to keep everyone posted on how I'm doing down in NOLA. It was so good to see everyone for my birthday! Guess we'll all be together again for Christmas...can't wait for mom's Shrimp Creole!
